Back in 1999 Chippy's was the first take-a-way in Haverhill to be awarded the Prestigious Health & Hygiene Award, presented by St Edmundsbury Council . 
We have continued to uphold the very high standards set by the Environmental Health Department and due to our commitment we have been presented with this award every year right up to 2010.
Now called 'Scores on the Doors' the award still represents a high level of health & hygiene but is now based on a staggered star system from 1 to five stars - 5 stars being the highest level and indicating the very best standard of cleanliness, health & hygiene maintained by both premises and staff.
The Scores on the Doors Award is designed to be shown on every 'take-a-way' restaurant door and those who have been awarded the accolade are displayed on the St Edmundsbury Council website.
Once again Chippy's have set the standard by being the first take-a-way in Haverhill to be awarded the highest 5 Star award for both our shop and also 5 stars for our Mobile Fish Shop too!
